| John Van Hamersveld began his rise to fame in the 60's. John designed over 300 rock album covers for groups like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Jefferson Airplane - including such well-known covers as Exile on Main Street and Magical Mystery Tour. As an innovator and cultural designer, John is best known for his Day-Glo poster for the 1964 film Endless Summer and the legendary Jimmy Hendrix drawing and poster for the 1968 Pinnacle concert at LA's Shrine Auditorium, still widely considered to be one of the greatest rock posters ever made. John's visual stamp on L.A. includes the 1984 Olympics mural and poster, the signage for The Broadway Deli and Kate Mantilini's and the redesign of Fatburger. |
