Ensembles in the Schools
Grades K-6

Provide your students with an “up close and personal” experience with the different instruments of the orchestra.

All ensembles demonstrate their instruments, explain how sound is produced and play a variety of music, both contemporary and classical.

Brass Brilliance: Trombones, trumpets, French horn and tuba combine for a delightful program. Listen closely to hear a story told through music.

Winds Tell a Story: Participate in the story of “Peter and the Wolf” as told by musicians and their instruments.

Percussion Pizzazz: Snare drums, xylophone, marimba, timpani and more! Wear your earplugs, but don’t miss a beat.

Symphonic Strings: Follow the bows, listen to notes, and hear music by composers that are alive today. Who will get to conduct the group?

Wonderful Woodwinds: Clarinets, flutes, oboe, bassoon, and French horn share in fabulous music. Hear melodies from the movies, TV, and classical tunes.
Each ensemble plays two 45-minute assembly programs. Schools within 10 minutes of each other may share an ensemble with each school receiving one assembly program.
