Siudy Garrido, flamenco dancer

Siudy GarridoDancer and choreographer acclaimed for her stage presence, Siudy has been described by the international press and specialized critics as: "Mesmerizing", "first class", "perfect technique", and "queen of the scene".
Outstanding Choreography Drama Desk nominee, Broadway NY 2011 and "Municipal Dance Award" honorable mention in her birth city Caracas, Venezuela.

Today, she is recognized as one of the leading stars in the globalization of the Flamenco dance. Often referred as The Flamenco Dancer of the Americas, Siudy has excelled in creating a unique brand with her own signature that fuses other dance genres with the Flamenco traditional dance form, taking it in new directions, thus, making her one of the most exciting performers in the new order.

In 2000 she founded "Siudy Dance Company", with six outstanding productions she had tour for this past 15 years.  Inviting special guest artist such as Antonio Canales, Farruquito, Jose Luis Rodriguez guitar and singer Argentina, among others. She has collaborated with award shows such as Univision, Premios Lo Nuestro and special events like the Disney 2000 millennium celebration with 80 successful performances at EPCOT center. Last but not least, teach an advance flamenco workshop to all Cirque Du Soleil dancers at Zumanity, Las Vegas.
In a different perspective, Garrido was invited to participate as guest artist with pop stars Romeo Santos for his Formula 1 tour debut at the Madison Square Garden in NYC, performed with Gilberto Santa Rosa, El Cigala, Niña Pastori, Maná, and Alejandro Sanz, among others.

Recently was given the responsibility as artistic director of Manuel de Falla Amor Brujo, performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and conducted by Gustavo Dudamel.

Also has participated with Pittsburg's Opera Company, Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO), and the Simon Bolívar Orchestra.

In 2013, as a side project to a very successful artistic career, Siudy established the "Siudy Flamenco Program", in order to expand the art of Flamenco dancing to new enthusiast, a Flamenco dance training program accessible to all audiences that will allow the understanding and further interest on this genre.
